Forecast: Mainly clear sky. Fog is likely during morning hours. Minimum temperature would be around 19 degrees Celsius. Waltair, the maximum temperature was 28.6 degrees Celsius and the minimum was 19.9 degrees Celsius respectively on Saturday. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 83 per cent and at 5.30 p.m was 75 per cent. At Airport, the maximum and minimum temperatures were 31.2 deg. C and 17.2 deg. C respectively. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 80 per cent and at 5.30 p.m. was 62 per cent. The maximum temperature at the Dolphin's Nose was 29.6 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 20.1 degrees Celsius Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 75 per cent.

NCLP centres

The Deputy Secretary to the Union Ministry of Labour, Hazrat Kaur, visited the child labour rehabilitation centres under the National Child Labour Project (NCLP) in the district on Saturday. She visited the residential bridge course centre being run by a voluntary organisation, Sadhana, in Parawada mandal and the Ambedkar Children Welfare Association in China Gadili mandal. Later Ms. Kaur addressed representatives of voluntary organisations associated with the NCLP and the Mandal Education Officers.

Rangoli contest

The Pithapur Colony Association is organising a rangoli competition at the park adjoining the Kalabhrati auditorium from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. According to its president, G.M. Rama Rao, the contest is open to all women and children.
