Temperature

MADURAI, JAN. 8. The city today registered a maximum temperature of 30.6 degree Celsius and a minimum of 20.8 degree Celsius.

Water level

The level in the Periyar dam today stood at 116.50 feet with an inflow of 90 cusecs and a discharge of 700 cusecs. The level in the Vaigai dam was 41.80 feet with an inflow of 283 cusecs and a discharge of 2,130 cusecs. The combined Periyar credit was 2,702 mcft.
