Rajdhani Express hits truck, 1 killed
SILIGURI,
JAN. 9.
One person was killed and another injured when the Guwahati-bound Rajdhani Express hit a truck at an unmanned level crossing between Dhupguri and Kolaigram in Alipurduar division of Jalpaiguri district today.
The Dhupguri police said a truck attendant was killed on the spot, while the truck driver sustained injuries and has been admitted to a local hospital.
The North-East Frontier Railway (NFR) Assistant Commercial Manager, Tarak Nath Bhattacharjee, said the accident occurred at 1357 hours and train services in the up line have been temporarily suspended.
