SEC clinches title
PUDUKOTTAI,
JAN. 9.
Geomine Antony's five for 29 helped host Sudharsan Engineering College (SEC) defeat PSNA College of Engineering, Dindigul by two wickets in the final of the State-level inter-engineering college cricket tournament for the Vanchinatha Dikshithar Memorial Trophy on Sunday.
The scores: PSNA College of Engg. 161 in 30 overs (Asique Refai 48, Geomine Antony five for 29) lost to SEC 162 for eight in 29.4 overs (Senthil Kumar 40 not out).
Special awards: Man of the series: Vinodh Kumar (PSNA); Bowler: Geomine Antony (SEC); Batsman: Senthil Kumar (SEC).
