CHENNAI, JAN. 9. K.S. Balakrishna Setty's Giant Schnauzer, Winnipeg's Rembrandt, was adjudged `best in show' in the Kennel Club of India's fifth National championship dog show at the University Union ground on Sunday. The two-and-a-half-year old dog, a Brazilian and American champion, had also bagged the honours in the Madras Canine Club's event on Saturday. It was a one-two for Setty again, when his Afghan hound, Tahkira What The Hell (an Australian champion), took the second place in the final round (last eight), judged by Mexican Francisco Chapa. GB and PA champion Charleston Kalahari, a Dobermann owned by Javinder Singh, was third. G. Sudheer Raju's Pomeranian, Vickvin's Smart Guy, was adjudged `best puppy in show' while also finishing seventh overall for the second day running. A Boxer, champion Jaron's Rock Fire, owned by Raju Simon, took the `best in show bred in India' prize. Mr. Chapa gave away the trophies.
