Calcutta emerges champion
KOLKATA,
JAN. 9.
Calcutta University lifted the Rohinton Baria Trophy here on Sunday defeating Jamia Milia Islamia University by seven wickets on the second and last day of the two-day final at the Jadavpur University Salt Lake Campus.
This was the second time since 1968 Calcutta has clinched the title.
Jamia Milia batted first and scored 253 for nine in 90 overs.
Set to get a target of 254, Calcutta rode on a splendid 96 not out by Anusthup Majumdar and a fine 69 not out by Avik Chowdhury to the deserving victory.

Jamia Milia Islamia 253 for nine in 90 overs lost to Calcutta University 254 for three in 71.8 overs (Anusthup Majumdar 96 not out, Avik Chowdhury 68 not out).
