Dry weather likely in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI, JAN. 10. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Lakshadweep and dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala.

The minimum temperature fell markedly to appreciably at one or two places over interior Karnataka, fell at one or two places over coastal Karnataka, Rayalaseema, north Kerala, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, north interior Tamil Nadu, rose at one or two places over Telangana and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were markedly to appreciably below normal at a few places over south interior Karnataka, at one or two places over north interior Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema, below normal at a few places over rest Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over coastal and north interior Karnataka, appreciably above normal at a few places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh, at one or two places over Telangana and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Arogyavaram, Belgaum Airport and Vellore recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 12 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

FORECAST (valid until Wednesday morning): Isolated rain is likely to occur over coastal Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, south Kerala and southern parts of Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over interior Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, north Kerala and northern parts of Lakshadweep.

Outlook For Subsequent Two Days: No significant change.
