Fine-tuning speech

The Adilabad district Collector, J. Sudha Rani, negated the anticipated possibility of the people not understanding the speech of the Governor, Sushil Kumar Shinde, on Monday at Kotapally. Her translation of his speech from Hindi to Telugu came not only as a relief but was also a revelation.

Ms. Sudha Rani not just got the drift of the speech and went to work on it but also fine tuned Mr. Shinde's speech at some points. When the Governor exhorted people to become Collectors and SPs, "Aap padh likh kar Collector aur SP ban na chahiye. MLA, MP se bhi jyada powerful hote hain yeh officer" (These officers are more powerful than MLAs and MPs), Ms. Sudha Rani translated, "Meeru chaduvukoni IAS, IPS kavala.

Prajala samkshemam kosam meeru baaga pani cheyocchu" (You get educated to become IAS, IPS. You can work for the betterment of people).
