KURNOOL, JAN. 10. The CPI (Maoist) extremist, Lathakka alias Laxmi, who was killed in the encounter in Prakasam district on Saturday was buried at her native village, Maddur in Pamulapadu mandal on Monday. Earlier, her body was brought to Kurnool and placed at the shop she had run for some time. Meanwhile, the leaders of Chaitanya Mahila Sangham and APCLC leaders alleged that Lathakka was whisked away from her shop here and was gunned down in Prakasam district. The Mahila Sangham leaders, Jyothi, Sujathamma and other leaders Punna Rao attended the funeral of Lathakka. The police made heavy bandobust at Maddur as well as Kurnool where the dead body was taken out in a procession.
