NELLORE, JAN. 10. The district unit of Bharatiya Janata Party has called for immediate intervention of the Central Government, in the wake of the arrest of Sri Vijayendra Saraswati of Kanchi Mutt on Monday. In a statement issued here, the party's president, S. Suresh Reddy, pointed out that in view of the Supreme Court granting bail to the Kanchi Seer, Jayendra Saraswati, it was hoped that the Tamil Nadu Government would see reason and give up its vindictive attitude.
