Jayalalithaa must apologise: Mahajan

MYSORE, JAN. 10. The former Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party general secretary, Pramod Mahajan, today said the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa, owed an apology to the nation in the wake of Supreme Court's decision to grant bail to the Kanchi Sankaracharya, Sri Jayendra Saraswati, in the Sankararaman murder case.

Ms. Jayalalithaa should also resign on moral grounds, Mr. Mahajan said at a "meet-the-press" programme organised by the Mysore District Journalists' Association here.
