RTC to get feedback from passengers
By Our Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD,
JAN. 10.
As part of the passenger-friendly measures, the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation, Ranga Reddy region, will observe `passenger feedback day' on the first of every month.
The effort is to get the first hand account from passengers on the services and problems they face while travelling in RTC buses.
The new initiative will commence from February 1.
At a press conference here on Monday, the Regional Manager, S. Nagaraju, said that they would rectify the problems faced by passengers and try to implement the suggestions made by them.
To cope with the holiday rush, the RTC was running 1,225 additional buses between January 7 and 14 to Vijaywada and beyond. As many as 80 private buses had also been hired.
Union demand
The RTC Transport Mazdoor Sangh has criticised the management for not implementing the board resolution on provision of free medical facilities to retired and retiring employees. The employees have to make a one-time payment of Rs.15,000 for availing themselves of treatment worth Rs.1 lakh. M. Nageswara Rao, general secretary, in a statement on Monday sought immediate release of the circular.
