This Day That Age
Declaring open the newly-constructed bridge across the Pennar in Nellore on January 10, Mr. C.M. Trivedi, Governor of Andhra, congratulated all those who worked for its successful completion. The Governor, who arrived in Nellore accompanied by Srimathi Kusum Trivedi, was received by the District Collector, Mr. K.C. Madappa. Mr.R. Ramamohanarao, Superintending Engineer, Highways, said in a report that the 2,505 feet long bridge had cost Rs. 34 lakhs.
