RIL starts buying back shares

MANGALORE: The Reliance Industries has commenced the buyback scheme on Tuesday in Mangalore as per the indication in the public announcement of December 28, 2004.

The scheme opened on Tuesday and will remain open until December 26, 2005, says a release. The decision to buyback equity shares is a reflection of the under-valuation of the company's stock price and the confidence of the management of RIL in its future growth prospects.
