Franklin Templeton's Flexi Cap Fund

HYDERABAD: Franklin Templeton Investments (India) is launching a new equity fund called Franklin India Flexi Cap Fund. Announcing the details at a press conference here on Tuesday, Sukumar Rajah, Director, said the fund seeks to provide medium to long-term capital appreciation by investing in stocks across the entire market capitalisation range. The initial issue period at Rs. 10 will be from January 17 to February 9, and it will open for ongoing purchase/redemption from March 7.

Franklin Templeton India, he said, manages Rs. 15,630 crores in assets, of which equity assets alone account for more than Rs. 5,000 crores. Making a presentation on the growth of the U.S., China and Indian economies, he said the demographic profile of India shows a `favourable bulge' from 2010 to 2030, implying more people in the working age group of 20-35 years. India has been identified by them as top few markets with huge potential and savings pool, he said.
