Anti-piracy cell formed

KOCHI: The Kerala Film Producers' Association has signed an agreement with the Delhi-based Lal & Sethi, advocates, for forming an anti-piracy cell. The cell would assist the authorities to initiate activities for curbing the menace. Addressing a press conference here, film producer and convenor of the cell, Sajan Varghese, said the Indian film industry was losing about Rs. 2,000 crores in revenue while the government was losing taxes worth Rs. 200 crores annually due to film piracy. Rajesh Ramanathan, representing Lal & Sethi, was also present at the press meet.
