`Mahaprakaram' opposed

HYDERABAD,
JAN. 11.
The Jeeyar Educational Trust and Vikasa Tarangini have sought reconstruction of the 1,000-pillar mandapam at the same spot and opposed the move to build the "mahaprakaram" at the site.
A delegation of the trust today submitted a representation to the three-member committee headed by P.V.R.K.Prasad, which is looking into the issue. The delegation led by Chintala Ramachandra Reddy, vice-chairman of the Jeeyar Educational Society, said that the demolition of the mandapam was against the "agama sastras."
