CRPF, NSG share honours
By Our Staff Reporter
NEW DELHI,
JAN. 11.
Officers and personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the National Security Guard (NSG) jointly shared the top honours at a debate competition on "Human Rights for Prisoners and Prisoners of War". The competition was organised by the CRPF under the aegis of National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) here today.
Speaking after the competition of the debate, V. Bhaskar Rao, member NHRC, said human rights were recognised even in ancient times and the security forces needed to have more transparency in order to develop a culture which is sensitive to human rights.
The Director General, CRPF, J.K. Sinha, said the forces have to keep in mind that in most cases they were dealing with their own countrymen.
