TIRUPATI, JAN. 11. The SVIMS super speciality hospital has slashed the charges for transfusion of one unit of blood from Rs.800 to Rs.500. The change will take effect on January 17. The revised amount comprises the charges meant for cross matching and other tests like HBsAg, HIV, HCC, malarial parasites, group screening, etc., the hospital said in a press release today.
