Half centuries by G. Vignesh (50) and V. Devendran (60) helped Unique Cricket Club, Chennai defeat Southern Railway Institute, Chennai by 23 runs in the super league of the 12th annual Kayathur R. Vaidyanatha Iyer Memorial Trophy State-level cricket tournament here on Tuesday.
The scores:
Unqiue CC, Chennai 204 for nine in 30 overs (G. Vignesh 50, V. Devendran 60, S. Ragunath five for 16) bt Southern Railway Institute, Chennai 181 for eight in 30 overs (S. Ragunath 54).
Victoria CC, Mayiladuthurai 49 in 12.1 overs (V. Vinod four for 31) lost to Trusted XI RC, Chennai 53 for one in 6.2 overs.
