SIT in semifinals

PUDUKOTTAI, JAN. 11. Sethu Institute of Technology (SIT), Kariapatti, entered the semifinal round robin league of the second annual State-level inter-engineering college basketball tournament defeating Anjaliammal Mahalingam Engg. College, Kovilvenni, 51-17 at Sudharsan Engineering College ground, Sathiyamangalam, on Tuesday.

The results: Quarterfinals: SIT 51 (Jones 10) bt Anjaliammal Mahalingam 17 (Priya Prakash 10); Thiagarajar, Madurai 62 (Balaji 26) bt JJ, Tiruchi 53 (Muruga Prasad 26); Sudharsan 45 (Gopinath 13, Kannadasan 10) bt PR, Thanjavur 27; Pavendar Bharathidasan, Tiruchi 62 (Sundaram 17) bt ACCET, Karaikudi 28 (Naveenkumar 20).
