Navy chief briefed about relief operation

VISAKHAPATNAM,
JAN. 11.
The Chief of Indian Navy, Arun Prakash, was briefed about the tsunami relief operations undertaken by the Eastern Naval Command (ENC) during his brief halt at the Naval Base on way to Port Blair on Tuesday.
Admiral Arun Prakash reached here by air from Delhi in the morning and after being briefed about the relief operations, held discussions with the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of ENC, O.P. Bansal.
The Navy Chief also chaired the general body meeting of the Naval Group Insurance Fund and the Indian Naval Benevolent Association. He later left for Port Blair for reviewing the ongoing relief operations in the Andaman and Nicobar islands.
