Ramavarma Memorial, St. George HSS, advance

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, JAN. 11. St. George HSS (Muthalakkodam) and Sri Ramavarma Memorial HSS (Puranattukara) moved into the second round of the State schools cricket tournament at the Agriculture College ground here on Monday.

St. George HSS overcame Mudrasuthul Rahmania VHSS (Padne) by 38 runs, while Sri Ramavarma Memorial scored a six-wicket win over NSS HSS (Lakhtoor).

The scores: St. George HSS 185 for five in 30 overs (Faiz K. Joseph 50) bt Mudrasuthul Rahmania VHSS (Mohammed Rasin 51, P. R. Shine four for 32, Sanis Basheer three for 30).

NSS HSS 121 in 25.2 overs (Jobin Babu 45, K. J. Jackson three for 39) lost to Sri Ramavarma Memorial HSS 126 for four in 18.1 overs (Praveen Achuthan 49 not out).
