THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, JAN. 11. A. Sisupalan, a native of Chavara in Kollam and teacher of the Kendriya Vidyalaya (37 Wing), Car Nicobar Air Force Station, has been reported missing since the tsunami onslaught on the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on December 26. According to family sources, the whereabouts of the 57-year-old teacher had not been made available by the Kendriya Sangathan authorities or the Government till date. The representations submitted by the family members in this regard to the Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy, had been forwarded to the Union Minister for Human Resource Development and the Union Minister for Defence. Mr. Sisupalan, who had been working in Car Nicobar for the last three years, had been knocking at the door of the authorities for a transfer.
