Mainly clear sky forecast

The sky will be mainly clear on Wednesday, according to weather forecast. Fog or mist is likely in the early morning hours. The minimum temperature will be around 15 degrees Celsius.

On Tuesday, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 31.8 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 14.5 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity was 33 per cent.

At the airport, the maximum temperature was 29.6 degrees Celsius and the minimum was 13.8 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity was 25 per cent.

Lecture on HIV

Asha Foundation will conduct a lecture on "Newer aspects of paediatric HIV" at 58, 3rd Main, SBM Colony, Anandnagar, on Wednesday. Rohan Hazara, member of the faculty of the National Institute of Health, Maryland, U.S., will deliver the lecture. More information is available on phone (23332921).

Elected

Achuthananda Reddy has been elected president of the Bowring Institute. The other office-bearers are Gurubaksh Singh Jolly (vice-president) and K.V. Reddy (treasurer).

Courses

The Continuing Education (CE) Cell of S.J. Government Polytechnic on Seshadri Road will conduct short-term courses in computer hardware, networking with Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Linux 7.2, CNC programming and fabrication, and repair of lead-acid batteries.
