By G. Viswanath

MUMBAI, JAN. 12. Vidya Pillai put herself in line for the National women's snooker title, trouncing Anuja Thakur in the semifinals of the Goregaon Sports Club National women's snooker championship here today.

Routed in the first frame and trailing 58-61 in the second, advancing further seemed a remote chanceBeaten in the billiards final on Tuesday, Uma was not successful in her attempt to pot the pink. The second frame was down to the last two colours (pink-6 pts and black-7) and well within the grasp of the Karnataka player.
