Police redeployed in forests

KURNOOL, JAN. 12. The honeymoon conditions created by the negotiations between the Government and the CPI (Maoist) appears to have come to an end with the police getting ready for forest combing once again. Three platoons of armed forces, which were involved in the search and combing operations, were being redeployed. In the wake of a bandh call given by the CPI (Maoist) on January 17 to protest against the encounter, the police agencies alerted the elected representatives and other leaders on hit list.
