Action sought against officials for G.O. `violation'

By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD, JAN. 12. While welcoming the statement of the Endowments Minister, M. Satyanarayana Rao, on G.O. 610, the Telangana Employees' Association on Wednesday alleged that some officials were "deliberately violating" the order.

In a statement issued here, C. Vittal, president, and other leaders charged the Government with not making public the Girglani Committee report submitted four months ago and ignoring the report prepared by him as well as the House Committee.

The association urged the Cabinet Sub-Committee to take steps on the implementation of the G.O. It sought action against officials working in the Secretariat and other State-level offices who deliberately violated the G.O.

The leaders said the percentage of Telangana employees, both in the Secretariat and 134 departmental offices, be increased from the present nine to 40 per cent.
