HYDERABAD, JAN. 12. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has demanded the resignation of the Union Ministers and six State Ministers belonging to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), in the light of the Endowments Minister, M. Satyanarayana Rao's admission that the Congress Government was unable to do justice to Telangana youth in the matter of employment. Addressing a press conference, the TDP leaders -- M. Narsimhulu, E. Peddi Reddy and Yousuf Ali -- said not only Mr. Rao's admission, the Government had also issued a fresh G.O. altering the local and non-local ratio in employment for Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission jobs from 80 per cent: 20 per cent to 70: 30, which meant a further cut of 10 per cent in jobs for locals in Telangana. Yet the TRS president and the Union Minister, K. Chandrasekhar Rao, and other Ministers have not spoken a word so far. Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao kept promising youth in Telangana that if G.O. 610 on repatriation of employees were implemented they would get 70,000 jobs. After winning the elections and becoming a Union Minister, he seems to have forgotten his promise. Does it not amount to deceiving the youth?

Not just employment, Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao had not done anything when the Centre had not included his constituency Karimnagar, his party and Cabinet colleague Union Minister, A. Narendra's constituency, Medak, in the list of 150 drought-hit districts for implementation of the Food-for-work programme.
