HYDERABAD, JAN. 12. The Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, has said that the Government was initiating steps to provide complete infrastructure for industries to set up their base in Andhra Pradesh. Addressing the `Enabling Technologies for Smart Appliances - 2005' conference organised by the Hyderabad section of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) here on Wednesday, Dr. Reddy said the Government had already taken up several infrastructural projects to woo the industry. He said an eight-lane outer ring road to ensure hassle free traffic movement, 12 satellite townships and all necessary basic infrastructure would be provided in the coming months.
Hardware development
Dr. Reddy said the Government was paying attention to hardware development projects. Government was ready to provide land at affordable price and quality power so that the industrialists could come and establish units here. The Government had earmarked 5,000 acres for Hardware Park and another 3,000 acres near Shamshabad for the proposed Nova Park. F. C. Kohli, adviser to Tata Consultancy Services, said India was on the verge of manufacturing full grown personal computers costing less than Rs. 10,000 each. "By year end, the computer will be available in the market," he added. President of IEEE, W. Cleon Anderson and General Chair ETSA - 2005, J. A. Chowdary, also spoke.
