WARANGAL, JAN. 13. The TDP leader, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, has urged people to realise the "true colours" of the Telangana Rasthra Samithi (TRS) supreme, K Chandrasekhar Rao, who, according to him, has been hoodwinking people. Hailing the remarks made by the senior Congress Minister, M Satyanarayana Rao, Mr. Dayakar Rao said the TRS leaders who had cashed in on the sentiments of Telangana had lost their guts to raise the issues pertaining to the region now. Mr. KCR who promised the youth of 50,000 jobs through effective implementation of GO 610 had now changed his tack, he said, adding that even TRS Ministers were maintaining silence to safeguard their positions.
`Absent at meetings'
The TDP leader said it was his party that had brought out the GO to do justice to youth of Telangana and later the then Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu, constituted a committee to oversee its implementation. "KCR was a member of TDP then. But, he failed to turn up for the meetings on the issue,'' Mr. Dayakar Rao pointed out. "KCR said there would no further public meetings and the next one would be held only after the separate state was formed. But, again he is planning to hold a meeting at Warangal. People should realise his double standard,'' Mr. Dayakar Rao said. Meanwhile, the Zilla Parishad chairman, A Baswa Reddy, accused the State Government of failing to tackle the prevailing drought situation in the district. "Forty mandals are declared drought-hit. So far, not a single drought relief work has been initiated. The labour are migrating in search of employment,'' he said. The ZP chairman wanted the Government to implement the Food-for-Work programme immediately and check migration of labour.
