PUDUKOTTAI, JAN. 13. Sethu Institute of Technology (SIT), Kariapatti, lifted the Vanchinatha Dikshithar memorial trophy State-level inter-Engineering College basketball tournament.

The results: Men (league): SIT 46 (Arumugam 18) bt TCE 38 (Balaganapathy 12); Pavendar Bharathidasan 35 (Sajin 12) bt Sudharsan 26 (Sivasankar 12); TCE 50 (Jeyaraj 19) bt Pavendar Bharathidasan 39 (Xavier 13).

Women: TCE 26 (Kavitha 12) bt ACCET, Karaikudi 15; TCE 18 (Kavitha 13) bt Sudharsan 12.
