Quick-fire century by Amit Verma

BANGALORE, JAN. 13. Amit Verma's breezy 136 (114 balls, 21x4, 1x6) helped Bangalore City post an imposing total of 346 in 63.5 overs, in the semifinals of the S.A. Srinivasan Memorial under-22 cricket tournament here on Thursday.

Dharwad Zone in reply had made 82 for three in 26 overs in its first innings.

The scores: President's XI 347 for nine in 90 overs (Y.H.S. Girish 42, H.T. Sudhir Rao 57, Nidhuvan Gotadke 59, Sachin Kadadevarmath 40, V. Cheluvaraj 53) v Mysore Zone.

Bangalore City 346 in 63.5 overs (Bharat Chipli 42, Amit Verma 136, S. Aravind 66; B. Rakesh four for 87) v Dharwad Zone 82 for three in 26 overs.
