KARUR, JAN. 13 . A. Kartik (30), a 1996 batch IAS officer, today took over as the Collector of Karur. Previously, he was the Commissioner of Madurai Corporation.

Mr. Kartik succeeds G. Ramamoorthy. He had served as the Sub-Collector, Palani, Additional Collector, Ooty, and Deputy Commissioner, Chennai Corporation.
