HYDERABAD, JAN.15. The State Government today created the post of Principal Secretary, Infrastructure, and posted R. P. Wattal, Managing Director, Andhra Pradesh State Finance Corporation.

M. Samuel has been re-designated as Principal Secretary, Panchayat Raj and Rural Water Supply, in the existing department.

The Government also reshuffled 10 IAS officers, according to orders issued by the Chief Secretary, Mohan Kanda.

J.C. Sharma is posted as Commissioner, Rural Development, in place of K. Raju, who has been transferred as Principal Secretary, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, replacing V. Nagi Reddy. Mr. Reddy moves to the Youth Affairs and Tourism Department as Secretary, vice S.P. Singh.

Mr. Singh has been posted as Secretary, Municipal Administration, in place of S.R. Rao, who has been repatriated.

I. Venkateswarlu has been posted as Commissioner, Endowments, in place of P.V. Satyanarayana Murthy, who takes over as Secretary to the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration, relieving E. Yellappa from the full additional charge of the post.

Saurabh Gaur, Sub-Collector, Narsipatnam, moves to Asifabad in the existing vacancy.

Three officers promoted

The Government has promoted three IAS officers -- Somesh Kumar, T. Satyanarayana Rao and V.M. Manohar Prasad (1989 batch) -- to the super-time scale of pay of Rs.18,400-500-22,400.

Mr. Somesh Kumar has been retained as Managing Director, AP Urban Finance and Infrastructure Corporation. His post is declared equivalent to the cadre post of secretary borne on the IAS cadre of AP with effect from the date of assumption of charge.

Mr. Satyanarayana Rao, Director, Handlooms and Textiles, has been re-designated as Commissioner, H & T and Development Commissioner, Apparel Export Park, Hyderabad. Mr. Manohar Prasad has been retained as Managing Director, AP State Trading Corporation, on the existing terms and conditions.
