Bomb hoax

NEW DELHI,
JAN. 15.
The New Delhi police were thrown into a tizzy today following a telephone call claiming that a bomb had been planted in the Janpath branch of Punjab National Bank. The call was later declared a hoax.
According to the police, a call was received around 12 p.m. in which the caller claimed that a bomb had planted in the bank and it could explode any time.
The local police, the Bomb Disposal Squad and the dog squad rushed to the spot. After about an hour's search, the call was declared a hoax.
The Connaught Place police are looking into the incident.
