KOZHIKODE, JAN. 15. The Kerala Sastra Sahitya Parishad (KSSP) has demanded that a comprehensive coastal zone protection policy be implemented by the State in view of the tsunami disaster. The long coastline of Kerala, susceptible to natural calamities, was another reason for such a policy. In a statement today, the KSSP district president, A. Achyuthan, and the chairman of the State environment committee, K. Sreedharan, said the existing coastal protection policy ought to be implemented without dilution.
