Constitutional guarantee for secularism favoured

By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD, JAN. 15. Roy Brown, president of the International Humanist and Ethical Union, Switzerland, has said that secularism without constitutional guarantee will be at the mercy of majority religions. Addressing a convention on `secularism - contemporary world situation' here on Saturday, Mr. Brown said Muslims engaged in community work, Christians and liberal Hindus were natural allies of secularists.

The APCC president, K. Kesava Rao, said the Congress was wedded to secular principles. A novelist, Chandralata, narrated the contents of her book `regadi vittulu' (seed of fertile soil).
