Condition ``stable''

BEIJING, JAN.16. The condition of the ailing Chinese leader, Zhao Ziyang, who was ousted and put under house arrest after he opposed the army crackdown on pro-democracy protests in Tiananmen Square here in 1989, is ``stable'' after treatment, the state media reported today.
