Dog menace

Sir, - Stray dogs have been a cause of worry for most civic bodies in the State for the past several years. Earlier, the city corporation had arrangements to kill these dogs. Now more than two dozen dogs are wandering in and around Uppidamoodu bridge at Kaithamukku and causing a lot of hardship to pilgrims visiting the Sreekanteswaram Temple during early morning and two-wheeler riders.

Will the corporation authorities take some steps to check this menace at the earliest?

One-way traffic

Sir, - From Kunchalummoodu railway over bridge on Karamana-Poojappura Road up to Karamana NH main road, one-way traffic system was in force.

Now, vehicles coming from Pappanamcode side also can pass through this narrow sub-road up to Kunchalummoodu railway over bridge, to go to Poojappura. This causes great inconvenience to the pedestrians to cross the road.

Hence, it will be a great boon if the old system of one-way traffic is reintroduced in this sub-road.
