Subsidy for nine DCCBs
HYDERABAD,
JAN. 17.
In an attempt to pull the nine loss-making District Central Cooperative Banks (DCCBs) out of the red the Cabinet has approved release of Rs. 195.66 crores to enable them to get refinance facility from the NABARD and renew loans to the needy farmers.
The districts in which these banks are functioning are Vizianagaram (Rs. 38.45-crore loss), Nellore (Rs. 30.74 crores), Warangal ( Rs. 30.36 crores), Medak (Rs. 26.60 crores), Cuddapah (Rs. 26.30 crroes), Srikakulam (Rs. 21.55 crores), Karimnagar (Rs. 18.43 crores), Mahabubnagar (Rs. 15.88 crores) and Kurnool (Rs. 8.9 crores). The Information Minister, Mohd Ali Shabbir, told reporters after a Cabinet meeting here today.
