LUCKNOW, JAN. 18. A spurt of hailstorm, which hit the State Capital for the first time this season last night, led the day temperature to dip by four degree celsius. According to weather reports, the hailstorm reduced the day (maximum) temperature today to 21 degree celsius which was one degree below normal and four degree less than yesterday. The sudden decrease in the day temperature increased the cold conditions forcing most people to stay indoors even as the sun played hide-and-seek throughout the day here. Met office said hailstorm was also reported from Bareilly last night following snowfall in the hilly regions of Uttaranchal which made the weather colder in the western parts of the state.
