By Our Staff Reporter

ANANTAPUR, JAN. 18. A former matka operator, Fakruddin alias Pawar, committed suicide by jumping across a train at Guntakal on Tuesday, allegedly due to police harassment.

According to the information reaching here, Fakruddin had settled in Bangalore and was running a petty business. However, he was visiting Guntakal frequently to attend the old cases registered against him.

His family members alleged that police harassment had increased during his recent visits to Guntakal and this had reportedly forced him to end his life.
