ANANTAPUR, JAN. 18. The District Review Committee (DRC) meeting held here today after a gap of more than two years failed to address many issues concerning the district at present. Several key issues like agriculture, irrigation, micro irrigation were not included in the agenda. While the members of the Opposition TDP were interested in cornering the ruling party by dragging the issues which have no bearing at present, the ruling party members were contented enough in countering the Opposition charges. The meeting, however, adopted a resolution unanimously seeking the Government to issue a GO allocating 10 tmc ft of HLC water to Penna Ahobilam Balancing Reservoir (PABR) on a permanent basis as part of HLC stage-II. The members explained that allocation was possible as K.C.Canal was being given 10 tmc ft water from Srisailam reservoir and its allocation in Tungabhadra water be given to PABR.
