Lawyers mourn tsunami victims

CHENNAI, JAN. 18. The Chief Justice of the Madras High Court, Justice Markandey Katju, today led a condolence meeting of lawyers in memory of the tsunami victims.

A large number of lawyers observed two-minute silence in honour of those who lost their lives .

Organised by the Madras High Court Advocates Association (MHAA), the event took place in front of the Manu Needhi Chozhan statue in the court precincts.

In his condolence message, the Association president, S. Prabakaran, said the wounds that the disaster inflicted would heal only with compassion and love.
