BANGALORE, JAN. 18. Three persons were killed and six injured when a private bus in which they were travelling hit a lorry in Manjelakkammanapalya in the Kudoor Police Station limits in Bangalore Rural district on Tuesday.

The police gave the names of the dead as Ibrahim (30) and Manjunath (25), both of Mangalore, and Adam (20), cleaner of the bus. The injured were admitted in private hospitals.

The police said Ibrahim was on his way to Bangalore to apply for a passport. Manjunath was working as an Assistant Engineer in Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Ltd.'s Mangalore office.

The police said the bus on its way from Mangalore to Bangalore had 37 persons on board. The bus reportedly overtook another vehicle and hit the lorry parked on the side of the road.
