Firing across LoC

Sir, — This refers to the report, "Pakistan opens fire across Line of Control" (Jan. 19). Clearly, Pakistan is displaying a change in its attitude towards the peace process.

What its objective is will become evident in the days to come. But India's desire to normalise relations with its neighbour seems a distant dream because it takes two hands to clap.
