Janashakti trains guns on police

By Our Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD, JAN. 19. The CPI-ML Janashakti has alleged that police officers are openly threatening to kill those supporting people's movements in Telangana districts and that they will eliminate all naxalites.

In a statement here on Wednesday, the Janashakti state committee secretary, Amar accused the Government of violating the mutually agreed terms of conditions for talks. While ignoring to fill the vacancies of teacher posts, the Government was planning to recruit youth as home guards. This was a deliberate attempt to ensure that only police administration was visible in villages.

Mr. Amar said that the Government's demand that the naxalites should come forward to hold talks was meaningless as it was totally ignoring the people's issues while insisting that the naxalites should lay down arms. He said the Government did not have any moral right to raise the arms issue without solving people's problems.
