THRISSUR, JAN.19. The historian M.R. Raghava Varier will deliver a talk on `Rethinking Manipravala: Decolonising the literary movement' at the St. Thomas College here on Thursday. The programme is part of the annual lecture series conducted by the Department of History of St. Thomas College in memory of its founder and historian the late Fr. Adolphus Edwin Medlycott. The Medlycott Foundation is collaborating in the conduct of the lecture series. According to a press release, one of the objectives of the programme is to commemorate the contributions of Fr. Medlycott. The programme has been arranged to participate in the ongoing debates on the problems of Indian historical researches and cultural studies with reference to Kerala, the release said.
