Ankit advances

GURGAON, JAN. 20. Ankit Sachdeva defeated Pulkit Mishra 7-5, 6-2 in the quarterfinals of the boys under-18 section in the AITA Championship series tennis tournament at the NTA Complex here on Thursday.

The results (quarterfinals):

Boys under-18: Rahul Belwal bt Kush Jagga 6-4, 6-2; Vikas Chauhan bt Ajay Kumar 6-4, 6-2; Ankit Sachdeva bt Pulkit Mishra 7-5, 6-2; Akshay Kohli bt Parul Verma 6-3, 6-4.

Girls under-18: Neha Rana bt Pooja Narayanan 6-0, 6-2; Tejeswini Narayanan bt Divya Hariharan 7-5, 6-2 Shweta Rana bt Charuta Mehta 6-0, 6-1; Priyanka Tohan bt Tarranium Handa 6-1, 6-0.
